Clean, warm, and really good. I just could've used one more pillow to sleep comfortably.

Getting to the barracks was easy, a little over five minutes on foot, and the station was only a few minutes farther away. The B&B's central location worked well for my three-night stay during the army entrance exam. Parking takes planning, though. In the center it's very limited even for residents, so you can apply to the local police for a ZTL permit or leave the car in paid or free parking farther out, about a ten-minute walk away. My room was huge, more like a mini-apartment, though it didn't have a kitchen. There were three bottles of water in the mini-fridge, which was a nice touch. The room also had a kettle and coffee maker, but no cups or pods, so they weren't much use. The decor felt a little dated and shabby, and there are a lot of stairs with no lift. Breakfast was served at the B&B-owned Bar Bistrò downstairs. The croissants weren't great, and the 7:00 start didn't work for exam days when I had to be at the barracks at 7:00. I often had to get breakfast at one of the town bars that opens at 6:00. If you're coming for the same reason, plan ahead. It was acceptable overall. A few euros off the price and some small extras in the rooms would make it a better compromise.

For the price, this was a really comfortable place to stay. My room was quiet, clean, and tidy for the night I spent here in October 2022 while walking the Way of St. Francis from Assisi to Rome. Breakfast is served in the bistro. A croissant and coffee or tea are included, and anything more costs extra. That suited me fine, especially at these prices. Pilgrims usually have a big appetite, after all. I'd recommend staying here without hesitation.

The studio apartment was spacious and comfortable, and we were greeted with real warmth and helpfulness. We had both dinner and breakfast at the property's bistro downstairs, with breakfast included in the price. The staff were excellent. The people here are so kind and friendly, and you can tell they care about their work. Highly recommend.
