Albergo Running Club

In the small village of Navazzo, this is an authentic hidden gem. The pizza is made with dough fermented for 48h, a process they've kept up since 2016, then perfected in a woodfire oven. We highly recommend it!

Getting here takes a bit of a drive, but it's worth the trip. The worker's lunch is very reasonably priced at 12 euros for bread, wine, pasta, and seconds, and the service is excellent and really friendly. It wasn't busy at this time of year, though I can imagine it gets busy when there are organised runs on. You don't need to be a runner to eat here.

The restaurant is easy to miss, and reaching it means driving along a winding road, but it's well worth it. We ordered a starter, several pasta dishes, steak, and desserts, and everything was perfect. They use good quality ingredients, including local products such as fishes from Garda. The Italian, German, and English menu was helpful, and the staff gave great advice in English. We also loved the white wine from Garda. Fully recommend this place for amazing Italian food.

The whole menu is good quality, and the service is friendly. The pizza is the best in the area, with a special stoneofen and a taste that shows the love put into making it. You won't find this quality anywhere in the lower area at lago di Garda. It's a lovely spot to spend noon or evening, away from most of the noisier areas below. If the restaurant is fully booked, you might even sit by the fountain next to it for a romantic time without a table. They normally serve you there too, unless they're extremely busy.
