The location is excellent, the building itself is lovely, and Gatteo Mare is beautiful, but I wouldn’t come back. The room was clean but hadn’t been renovated; the furniture was old, and the bathroom had no shower tray, just a somewhat dated plastic curtain. What bothered us most was how closely everything seemed to be rationed: air conditioning, portions at meals, toilet paper, even soap. I understand it’s a business, but a bit more moderation would help. The management lacked the hospitality, warmth, and cheerfulness we associate with Romagna. It was obvious, and noticeable.

The location was decent, the staff were friendly, and the room was reasonably clean, so most things were acceptable. But during cleaning, some money disappeared from my wallet, and that one thing spoiled the whole stay.

We’re grateful for such a good stay. The restaurant served tasty food in generous portions, and our room was clean. The owner and all the staff were genuinely kind and helpful. The location is excellent, just steps from both the center and the sea. Everything was perfect!

Chef Paolo deserves a mention for the delicious, generous meat and fish dishes that made every meal a treat. Penelope was always ready to help with requests at the table, and did it with a smile. We stayed three nights at the start of the season with our two children. The spotless quadruple room had two connecting rooms, giving us privacy while still letting us keep an eye on the kids. The service team and kitchen made us feel especially looked after. Many thanks to Emanuele and Elisa for their genuine kindness and professionalism, which made us feel at home.

Paolo looked after us from breakfast through dinner, and the menu choices were excellent. Emanuele and Elisa were always smiling, welcoming, and kind. We spent three days at the Welt with a family of friends and four children altogether. The hotel matched its website description: clean, tidy, practical, and in an excellent location. The kids had a lovely time, and so did all of us. We’ll definitely come back!
