The view was lovely and the room was clean, but the air conditioning was either not working or barely cooling. Breakfast was almost gone by the time we got there at 9:00 on both mornings: just 23 slices of salami and 6 slices of ham, with no vegetables. Today I asked for eggs because there weren't any left, and they brought some. At 9:33 I then asked for pancakes, but was told they only serve them until 9:30 and wouldn't make more, even though I was just three minutes late.

The food was amazing, with a new range of delicious first and second courses at both lunch and dinner each day. The pool, fitness center, and other hotel services were impeccable. Our sea-view room was comfortable, and the whole hotel was very clean. The staff were extremely friendly, too. It's right by the beach, and I was able to leave my car in the reserved covered space inside the hotel from arrival until departure. We had a fantastic holiday. Gatteo a Mare has countless attractions, like the rest of the Romagna Riviera, and I recommend a stay at Hotel Royal-Spiaggia.

We were there for four days during Liscio week, and the location was fantastic. The food was excellent, and the buffet was well organized. Staff were attentive and quick to take care of our needs and concerns. We'll come back, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is right on the beach, and we really enjoyed our week here in June. The rooms and food were excellent, and everyone was so friendly. My children and I will be back in August!
