We loved the friendly owners and the real farm feel. It’s also a great spot for cycling, and there’s a good restaurant about a five-minute walk away. A wonderful stay.

The garden out front, with its comfortable loungers, was a lovely spot to relax outside. We also had a spacious apartment, a well-equipped kitchen, and a bathroom that had recently been renovated. The other rooms were simply furnished in a rustic style. The farmhouse is tucked into the quiet Maremma countryside. The owner was very welcoming and took time to explain local activities and places to eat. Free bikes are available. They’re a little old, but they work perfectly. You can ride to the sea in about 40 minutes or follow a beautiful path through the Maremma and pine forest to Alberese. We had a great experience and would happily recommend it.

Free bikes are available for riding to the sea or exploring nearby villages. Back at the apartment, there’s room to relax, a renovated bathroom, and a kitchen with everything you need. The loungers in the garden are a nice extra. Agriturismo Merano is a peaceful spot in the Maremma countryside. The owner is very kind and glad to suggest things to do in the area.

We especially appreciated Gessica’s help whenever we had a question. We could speak with her in English, which was a real help when you don’t know the local language. The owners were warm and kind, too. Although the guest apartments have their own separate entrances, you share the overall space with them. There’s a large grassy area by the house where younger children can play or relax. Nearby, a very atmospheric restaurant serves delicious food, though booking ahead is a good idea. Alberese also makes a great base for trips to Siena, Saturnia, and Pitigliano. Agriturismo Merano sits in a charming rural setting at the foot of a nature park, with a quiet, idyllic feel that suits anyone who loves nature and peace. The sandy beach is a few kilometers away. You can drive, catch a nearby bus, or rent a bicycle from the hosts for free. The apartments are a good standard, and the price felt fair. We’re so grateful for our stay and highly recommend it. We had such a good time that we can only say it again: we recommend it!
