Villa Liburnia

The owner knows the area better than Google and can point you to local sights or fine dining. We had a wonderful stay, enjoying the hilltop setting and pool, while still being just 10 minutes' drive from Livorno city center. The management and hospitality felt like a perfect 6-star experience. Highly recommended.

Villa Liburnia Bed and Breakfast sits in a lovely park with a panoramic view, just minutes from the sea, shopping centers, and city center. You get a private entrance and parking, plus a room with a bathroom, closet, and smart TV. The swimming pool has umbrellas and loungers. Ms. Ramona is kind, friendly, and always available. If you're planning time in Livorno and need somewhere to stay, I highly recommend it.

The next morning, the owner called to say she needed the room vacated. We hadn't noticed the checkout time, our mistake, and apologized right away. We were back for our things within 15 minutes, but on the way we got THREATENING, extremely RUDE calls demanding that we return immediately because we were late and she couldn't get into the room without the keys. When we arrived, the door was already open and our belongings had been piled on the couch. We packed our bags feeling deeply uncomfortable and humiliated, left the key with the owner, and went away speechless. The owner never showed up. Hospitality, empathy, and respect for GUESTS = zero. We'd initially been greeted kindly, so we hesitated to leave a negative review, since we care more about kindness and people than the place and usually write positive reviews or none at all. But the room itself was extremely basic compared with other B&Bs in the area where we've stayed over the years, despite costing the same. The furnishings were shoddy, there was some dust, the bed was noisy, and the sheets were too narrow and short. In the bathroom, the shower gel was nearly empty, the showerhead was dirty in the corners, and the shower glass was filthy.

Ramona welcomed us with a sincere smile and made us feel at home. She's kind and helpful. The B&B is surrounded by greenery and has a sea view, with a lovely pool, shower, loungers, and umbrellas. Our bright, spacious room was carefully furnished, with touches like a double mirror and an extra bathroom vanity. It was all clean and tidy, and the rooms look out over the lawn and sea. We also had our own loungers for enjoying the quiet and the view. Highly recommended!
