Villa Sopri

The balcony or terrace was a lovely spot for watching the sunsets and the lively evenings in Malcesine, without being disturbed. We only had seven days in the Zeni family's lovely little holiday apartment, which felt too short. Tanja and Roberto were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was centrally located and tastefully furnished, with everything we needed.

We were glad the heating worked so well during that unusually cold October, and the view over Lake Garda kept captivating us every day. Villa Sopri sits in a quiet, spacious garden with mature trees, and you can barely hear the road. The apartments were clean and well equipped, though you do need to bring your own towels and bed linen. The owner speaks excellent German and is always available for questions. The setting is idyllic, with wonderful views and direct access to the lakeside promenade. One tip: breakfast at the neighboring hotel is generous and comes with a lovely terrace, for €12 per person.

The owner came by every day to water and care for the garden, so it was easy to ask questions. Our ground-floor apartment was spacious, with a small kitchenette, fridge, stove, microwave, and a full set of utensils and cutlery. The large garden was beautifully landscaped and very well maintained, with a pool, a 60-80 cm children's section, a deeper area up to 140 cm, and a whirlpool. Free loungers and parasols were available in the garden and by the pool. The property sits a few metres above Lake Garda, with direct access from the garden to the lakeside path and the lake itself. Villa Sopri has several apartments. I highly recommend it.

We came back for a second stay and again had a wonderful time. The apartment was spotless and very well furnished. From the balcony, we could see the lake, mountains, and Malcesine, right beside the lake. The owner was friendly and happy to chat in perfect German. There are plenty of loungers around the large, well-kept garden pool, which also has a smaller whirlpool section. The path into Malcesine's center follows the lakeshore, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Watching the sun sink behind the mountains in the evening was breathtaking.
