La Stanza dell'Angolo is easy to reach on foot and makes a great base for a couples' weekend in the historic center. Mr. Michele is welcoming and very kind, and his little shop has lots of souvenirs to take home. There’s no breakfast, which was the only downside, but a café just below the rooms sells excellent artisanal products. I highly recommend it. Antonio and Stefania

We spent five days at La Stanza Dell'Angolo and really enjoyed it. The double room was small, as we expected, but laid out well and worked perfectly. It was spotless, and the linens and towels were changed often. It also looks out over Maratea’s main square, a splendid view and a great spot for enjoying the town center. Mr. Michele was kind, welcoming, and always there when we needed anything. Highly recommended!

Michele looked after us so attentively and kindly, and was available for every request. He even gave us a pass for free nearby parking, so that was no problem. The guesthouse was charming, very clean, and had every comfort, right on the main square. We were there for a short, pleasant break in early September, and Maratea and the sea were extraordinary. Mr. Michele and his wife, Loredana, made our stay special with their warm welcome, helpful advice, and readiness to help with anything. We loved chatting downstairs in their little local products shop, and our comfortable room overlooking Maratea’s main square was wonderful. The parking pass helped too. We stayed at the Stanza dell'Angolo during the middle week of August, and leaving was hard. Maratea is a little gem in the mountains with crystal-clear water. I highly recommend taking a kayak trip to see caves and beaches you can reach only by sea. It’s a unique experience! We promise to come back soon, and thanks again for everything. P&C.

The location gets 10/10 for being right in the center, close to buses and shuttles. Getting around is harder from March to June, though, because buses run few routes, leaving expensive local taxis as the option. The rooms were brand new, quiet, and had comfortable beds. There’s a TV, Wi-Fi, fridge, reading corner, hairdryer, towel changes, and information. The owner Michele is always ready to help and recommend well-managed, beautiful places in Maratea. With the owner nearby and a shop just below the rooms, the place felt more like a hotel than a B&B. Cleanliness and hospitality were top priorities. Cleanliness: 10/10. Bed comfort: 10/10. Services included: TV/Wi-Fi/fridge/reading corner/hairdryer/towel change/information. Transportation: 5/10.
