We’re a family of four and only stayed one night, but everything was excellent. There was plenty of room for us, the rooms were very clean, and the location was great. Breakfast in the garden was lovely too, with a great view. Massimo was a wonderful, charming host. We wished we could have stayed another night.

It was so peaceful here, which made the whole experience of the city much more memorable. You don’t realize how much hustle and bustle you’re used to until you get somewhere this quiet. Just lovely, and an amazing way to take in the city.

The king suite with balcony was beautiful, and the view from it was stunning. Breakfast also accommodated my gluten intolerance, which made me very happy. The location was ideal, easy to walk around and explore while still feeling peaceful. Massimo was a perfect host, a real gentleman, great at communicating, and helpful with directions and things to do in matera. I was honestly sad to leave his place. I’d absolutely stay again, and hope I get the chance someday.

When we weren’t out exploring Matera, the kids wanted to relax in the really comfortable rooms, play pool, or hang out in the garden and terraces. The views of the sassi and surrounding area were great. My family and I had a fantastic stay.
