The room was affordable and right in the center of town. Michele was so kind and helpful while we were in Matera. I’d definitely recommend it.

We were shown to a newly renovated room with a great atmosphere, after Michele helped us find a convenient parking spot right outside. He also gave us a quick, useful introduction to Matera. The place is right beside the historic part of town, which was even more picturesque and interesting in its history than we’d expected.

The owner was so thoughtful, even giving me grapes as a seasonal gift. He also offered coffee, water, and pastries at no charge, then walked me through Matera’s main sights with a really useful map. The accommodation was lovely, clean, and welcoming. You can tell he puts a lot of care into looking after guests. Highly recommended!

I had such a good stay and will definitely come back. The owner was kind, took time to explain the city and how to get around the next day, and even picked fresh grapes.

We hadn’t booked this place in advance and were redirected here from another host for reasons we couldn’t understand. Still, Mr. Michele welcomed us kindly and was very helpful, with clear directions for exploring Matera. Our three-person room was spacious, tidy, and had everything we needed, though it had no window. The location is excellent for visiting the city, the price was fair, and parking along the main road was very close. We’re grateful to Mr. Michele for being so considerate when we left.
