The best part of our weekend at "Casa Gagliardi" was the breakfast Mrs. Angela made fresh each morning. It was exceptional. She welcomed us warmly, shared helpful tips for exploring Matera, and looked after us so kindly. The rooms were spotless and had every comfort, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and courteous. The property has parking and sits in a very quiet residential area, a short distance from the Sassi di Matera. We felt at home as soon as we arrived.

Angela was so welcoming and explained the route into the center, then recommended a tour and arranged it for us. We spent one night in September, about a 15-minute walk from the center and the Sassi. The rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was the real treat: even though it was just us that morning, Angela made pancakes, cake, and quiche, and it was all delicious. I'd recommend it 100%.

We joined the dinner hosted by Mrs. Angela, with traditional and reworked dishes that brought back memories of what our grandmothers used to cook. The breakfast was generous and tasty too, with traditional products, homemade cakes, and focaccias. Mrs. Angela gave us a warm welcome and made us feel right at home. It's about a 15-minute walk from the Sassi, and there is private parking. Highly recommended!

We felt completely at home here, and the fresh breakfast Angela prepares herself each day was fantastic. She's a caring, attentive host, supported by a lovely staff who are kind and ready to help with any request. You can see how much heart she puts into the details and into making guests feel looked after. The location is well placed for walking to the city center while staying in a peaceful area. Great for families, too. She's wonderful with children. A warm, loving place, and a wonderful experience ❤️
