La Stufetta

Every detail in this home seems to have its own story. As someone creative, I was mesmerised by the little things around the house every day. Anna is a lovely person and host, and her homemade wine was absolutely mind-blowing. The whole stay was memorable, and it's the most beautiful, heartwarming Airbnb experience I've had so far. If you're lucky enough to find an available date, you have to stay here 🤍

The breakfast was amazing, with really good local products, and all the city's lovely spots are within walking distance. The place itself has a special atmosphere, like spending time in an artist's studio and travelling through time. The host was wonderful and showed us kind attentions. Don't hesitate!

I came back to Matera a year later and returned to La Stufetta too. It's impossible to get tired of wandering around such a breathtaking city, and I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. Anna gave me a wonderful welcome on my first visit, and she's just as special a host now. Her home atelier is full of ethnic details and even more of the Lucanian tradition. There's an ancient atmosphere here that feels warm and positive. Thank you, Anna. See you soon, you know I'll be back.

You can spend days taking in the colours and all the objects in the kitchen and bathroom, then relax in the hammock, put on music in the living room, or share a chat and aperitif with Anna. Even climbing a flight of stairs feels like a chance to really unwind. This is more than somewhere to sleep, it's Annamaria's home, with a soul. A fantastic place where emotions can find inspiration and grow.
