There was so much food provided, including coffee, tea, milk, yogurt, water, cereal, biscuits, muffins, cookies, and more. The kitchen was well stocked with pantry basics, so it was easy to cook. The B&B also has a living room, an eat-in kitchen, two bathrooms, balconies off the living room and kitchen, and a terrace with an incredible view. Palazzotto Morelli is in Matera’s historic center, within walking distance of the old city, restaurants, shops, grocery stores, and a farmers market. Roberto shared lists of things to see and do, then messaged me restaurant recommendations and places to buy food. I wish we could’ve stayed longer. Thank you, Roberto!!!

The apartment was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with two lovely terraces. It’s very close to the sassi, and we enjoyed the breakfast too. The host was friendly and helpful. A great place to stay in Matera, totally recommended.

We only stayed one night, which was a shame. You really need at least two days to enjoy Matera and this peaceful, cozy apartment. It was spotless throughout and furnished with care and taste. The location is great, just a two-minute walk from the entrance to the old town, and breakfast was good. There’s paid parking just around the corner, and you can see your car from the balcony. The apartment has two balconies, including a large upstairs terrace with a partial view of the Sassi.

Roberto, the owner, was attentive and extremely helpful, and the apartment was equipped with every comfort, bright, spacious, and meticulously looked after. It’s only steps from Matera’s wonderful historic center and the scenic viewpoint of the Sassi di Matera. The price felt reasonable for the quality of the accommodation and the stay. Highly recommended!
