The breakfast was a real treat, with a continental spread and an Italian touch, plus eggs made however you like. It runs from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.; there's no dinner restaurant at the hotel. Our room stayed cool when we came back, and the bed was very comfortable. The vaulted room and bathroom looked stunning, with high-end décor, and the shower had three valve options. We especially liked the rain-style head. The staff made the stay from start to finish. They were friendly, easy to reach without needing an interpreter, and gave us useful directions, restaurant and sightseeing recommendations, people to meet, and things to keep in mind. Oooo my GAWD, we had the best, most restful time. Highly recommend!

Right on Piazza San Pietro, with a delicious breakfast that had both hot and cold options. The room was beautiful, with mood lighting, and the toiletries felt high-end. The staff were very professional. A first class operation.

The staff were fantastic, professional and always willing to help. We found the rooms stylish and beautiful, as well as very comfortable. If you're visiting Matera, stay here, you won't be disappointed.

The staff were great, and the decor was nice, but there are better options. Our first night, the A/C broke and we couldn't sleep. Only a few rooms are in caves, and the view from ours was mostly blocked, with no direct outlook. The hotel sits downhill from the main squares and restaurants, so there are lots of steps to climb when going out to eat.

We'd definitely stay again. It's a beautiful place with good service and a small but nice breakfast. Lots of restaurants are within walking distance, about 2-10 minutes, mostly uphill.
