The host's service was fantastic, and he was incredibly friendly and patient. We ran into problems with our rental car and couldn't communicate well with the rental company. He spent many hours helping us sort it out, which stopped the day from becoming a complete nightmare. The rooms were spacious, quiet, clean, and very well kept, in an ideal location. I'd give the service 10 stars if I could.

Tonio was brilliant as our host, so helpful I could have wrapped him up and taken him home. We've already recommended the place to our friends in Australia, who are planning a visit to Matera next year.

Tonio welcomed us with real professionalism and was kind, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. Residenza Gramsci is very close to the center, and the rooms feel relaxing, with tasteful furnishings and care in the details. We had a wonderful stay in Matera and I’d highly recommend it for a comfortable visit.
