Villa Bavaria & Residenz Palma Hotel

The service made the stay especially easy. Roland at reception was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the rest of the team were just as attentive. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and we enjoyed the garden and common spaces. The shower was great too. The building has lots of character and, though older, is kept in perfect condition. We found the food delicious. Breakfast had a smaller selection, but everything was fresh and excellent quality. The drinks were great as well. There was plenty of free parking, which was convenient. All in all, a fantastic visit from beginning to end, and we'd recommend it to anyone.

Villa Bavaria was much better than we'd hoped. As an English family visiting a place mostly frequented by German and Italian tourists, we worried we might feel out of place. Instead, every member of staff was welcoming and professional, and we were so happy there. I spent days researching hotels for our first trip to Merano. Director Hans answered my many emails with such positive energy that I chose Bavaria over the other options. After I'd booked, he emailed again with a lovely description of Merano, which reassured me I'd picked well. This heritage hotel was the cleanest I've visited, with no marks or scratches in the rooms. The housekeepers do an amazing job. The food is divine, too. Breakfast was healthy, varied, and all top quality. The waiting staff were brilliant. One gentleman even noticed my cappuccino wasn't frothy enough and replaced it. That's attention to detail! We loved the five-course evening meal and wished we'd eaten there more often. Tali the bartender was so polite and remembered how I like my drink straight away. The app made ordering drinks from a poolside lounger easy, and service was fast. The indoor and outdoor pools were lovely, clean, and luxurious. Hans works incredibly hard and is always genuinely smiling as he walks around. He was why I booked Hotel Bavaria, and I'm so glad I did. I was sad to leave. It's a perfect mix of sophistication and friendliness.

We stumbled on Villa Bavaria online while traveling and booked three nights because it looked nice and affordable. We were so glad we did. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was amazing without being expensive. I have Celiac disease and need to eat gluten free. They went above and beyond, leaving baskets of gluten-free bread and snacks each morning and adjusting the dinner menu a little for me. Breakfast was included, a five-star buffet with fresh fruit, meats and cheese, cereals, yogurt, and excellent bread for those who aren't Celiac. Dinner was a gorgeous gourmet five-course meal for 35 Euro. We hadn't expected much at that price and were blown away. The rooms were immaculate and spacious, and some, including mine, had air conditioning. The views were stunning, the garden beautiful, and both pool areas lovely. It felt like staying at a private villa. The location was perfect, too. This hotel made our trip. I can't say enough good things about it, and we'll be back!

The concierge suggested a hiking trail we really enjoyed, and breakfast was fantastic, with salmon and champagne on offer. The hotel's beautiful, quiet garden was a pleasure, and the exterior reminded us of a Wes Anderson film. Thanks so much.
