I was second-guessing the booking after reading reviews, but the room was reasonably clean and the water pressure was fine. The area felt safe at night, with lots of students around because of the nearby university. A tram stops right outside, and there’s a Carrefour open 24 hours a day, all week, as you come out of the nearby metro station.
Handy and inexpensive if you need to be near the university. The air conditioning is good and the water pressure is okay, but the room wasn’t sparkling clean and the bed wasn’t especially comfortable. Skip the breakfast add-on, the cafe outside is better.
The breakfast is just okay, nothing fancy, but it’s enough to get the day started. I’ve stayed at Da Vinci Hotel Milano several times, about 3-5 years ago, and it was reliable each time. The rooms are spacious, and I never ran into any problems. Being close to the metro makes getting around Milan easy, and I’d happily stay there again.
We stayed for three nights and never got the breakfast we’d already paid for. I had booked with breakfast included through the Booking.com app, and showed it to the receptionist, but he said it wasn’t included and that he didn’t know why the app said it was. He told us we’d have to pay extra to get breakfast. I’ve complained to Booking.com. Be careful when booking.
The location was good and the reception staff were nice, but the Wi-Fi signal in my single room was so poor that it seriously affected how well I could work there.
