Casa Milano - Openspace in Duomo

I’ve never stayed anywhere with this many problems. Privacy is practically nonexistent: a glass door opens onto the shared stairwell, leaving constant light in what passes for a bedroom, and a plywood door between units lets you hear the neighbors as if they were right beside you. The entrance door looks like two old shutters and should have been replaced years ago. Even the shower is just a handheld head sticking out of a hole in the wall, and everything feels cheaply done. The bowl-shaped bed was awful to sleep in. The unit is also extremely dangerous for children, with bedroom mezzanine railings you could fall through and unsafe electrical wiring. Don’t stay here, especially with kids or if you want privacy and a decent night’s sleep.

We couldn’t sleep at all because of the noise all night from cars, trams, and people passing by. The room is in a good location and is spacious and nice, but it felt very unsafe. The wooden door looked like a stable door, and the main entrance was always open. They also turned off the heating just before bedtime, while the air conditioning barely warmed the bed. The beds sank completely when we lay down.

We had a really good stay. The room was large and cozy, with a clean bathroom and a super comfortable bed. It also had air conditioning and central heating. The location was perfect, with good shops and restaurants nearby and the historic center very close.

What’s shown in the pictures is completely unlike what you find in reality.
