Francesca patiently showed me how to make Italian coffee with that funny moka, and told me, “Here coffee is an art.” She was right! I also loved the excellent Italian breakfast, especially the handmade jam. The staff were all warm and helpful, and my room was comfortable and peaceful, with a memoryfoam bed and a well-equipped bathroom. The apartment is charming and well located.
I really enjoyed the homemade jams at the Italian breakfast, and the sweets and liqueurs were lovely to have while looking through the illustrated art history books. The owner was friendly and helpful. I chose this apartment mainly to try the bathroom’s color therapy, and it was REALLY RELAXING! The place has a great mix of modern style and color, and I liked the paintings too. It truly feels like a temple.
The owner charged me the full stay 10 days before check-in, even though my booking allowed free cancellation up to 24 hours before arrival. Covid meant I couldn’t stay at the property, but getting my money back took more than a month. Booking.com finally refunded me after the property failed to respond to its reminders. When I asked the owner about a refund, he was extremely rude and even encouraged me to sue him. He took my money during a difficult time for everyone. Milan has plenty of welcoming places with courteous hosts, so I see no reason to choose somewhere marked by this kind of arrogance and rudeness.
The room was clean, shops were close by, and the staff were so kind and friendly. And the Italian coffee was excellent! Departure 😊
