The room was on the ground floor, tiny, and had no sound insulation at all. I could hear every word and footstep from outside. I stayed about an hour after paying for the room, then offered to pay for that time and leave because I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep. Alessio, the receptionist, dismissed what I was saying, made slight digs at my intelligence, and insisted I was the first person to complain about the noise. That wasn’t true, as I later saw similar complaints in other reviews, but only after I’d left. Talking to him felt deeply uncomfortable. He was miserable to deal with even when I tried to be reasonable and respectful. It felt like a family-run place, because I can’t imagine Alessio getting hired elsewhere with that attitude. Worst “hotel” experience I’ve had so far. Cheap, low-class experience. Avoid it if you can.

My flight was canceled because of the war, and I sent them message after message through the Booking app. They never replied. Because they didn’t respond, I was charged the full amount. I wouldn’t recommend booking with them.

It was okay, though not cheap for what you get. Housekeeping threw some of our things in the trash, and they broke my makeup and hair straightener too.

The receptionists were friendly, but the rest of the stay was terrible. My room was in a different building on another street, and there was no soundproofing. Between a drunk couple of guests spending much of the night in a kind of cafeteria near the rooms and noise from the busy street, sleep was impossible. The sheets looked badly washed, and the room wasn’t very clean either. There wasn’t a European-style socket anywhere in the room, so a tourist from another country couldn’t charge a phone. Luckily I had a power bank. The bed was uncomfortable, and the TV had sound but no picture. It’s not cheap enough to excuse this level of neglect. A terrible experience.

The location is the one real plus, relatively close to the train station. I paid in advance for three nights and, when I arrived, the receptionist was initially kind and kept our luggage while the room was being prepared. When we returned, though, she took us to a separate building that wasn’t a hotel at all. The Booking listing presents the place as a two-star hotel, but what we were shown was nothing like the room we’d booked or the photos. It felt like a trap. The room was dusty and dirty, with rusty blinds and stains on the walls from who knows what. The toilet seat was broken, and there was sticky stuff on the shower tiles. When we showed the receptionist photos and raised the problems, her manner changed completely. She was rude, barely understood English, and just said that was what we had booked. She ignored the evidence and our request for a refund, telling us to complain to Booking instead. She kept our money, didn’t offer another room or try to sort anything out, then ended up swearing at us and yelling in Italian. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. There are much better options nearby for the same price, so don’t let it ruin a stay in Milan.
