Hotel Florence Milano

Breakfast choices aren’t huge, but what they serve is really tasty, especially the pastries. The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and spacious. The hotel is fairly close to a Subway Station, about five stops from the Duomo.

The rooms were comfortable enough for us, with space for two people in a two-bed room, and the views of Florence’s architecture were excellent. The service didn’t quite meet what I’d expect from a 4-star hotel, but it was okay. There are better hotels for service and location, so I wouldn’t recommend this one on that basis. It is, though, good value for the money.

The room was spacious and clean, breakfast had plenty of variety, and the staff were welcoming. It’s also in a good spot, about a 20-minute walk from the centre. We stayed three nights and had some real issues: there was other people’s rubbish in the fridge, including empty beer bottles, yogurt tubs, and food packaging. The building’s air conditioning wasn’t working, and one day we had no hot water for showers. It’s a nice, welcoming hotel in some ways, and you get what you pay for.

The staff were very kind and helpful, and they speak English. My room’s terrace was a lovely quiet place to have coffee, and the area itself is peaceful. The rooms are tiny, but have what you need: a refrigerator, TV, wardrobe with hangers, comfortable beds, and everything was clean. A lovely little hotel. Thanks for the kind service.
