INTOMILAN I Apartment Galleria Del Corso

The apartment was absolutely beautiful, with room to relax, have coffee, and eat dessert. We were there in November, and the location was perfect, a block and a half from the cathedral and close to everything, including lots of great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!

I felt completely misled here. I’d reserved a better room, but got a different one. When I complained, they showed me an even worse room with a similar layout and acted as if I was being upgraded. They also charged more than the amount confirmed on booking.com. I tried contacting booking.com, but never heard back, so I had no choice but to stay. The room was in awful condition. There was a hole in the entrance wall, stains on several walls and again in the bathroom, rusty bedside tables, and a mini bar that was limping. The bedroom sofa was clearly broken and sank unless you sat right on the edge. One shower head holder was broken, the shower ceiling was peeling and had some suspicious black dots, and the vanity mirror light was held on with tape and unusable. The toilet flush had a hole in the back covered with toilet paper, and the lid was too small for the toilet. The shower leaked constantly, just a little, but you could hear it in the room. The window handle was loose, and right outside was filthy with dust and trash. Some bulbs in the corner lamp were burned out. The elevator was small and very old. If someone gets out and forgets to close the doors, you’re left without an elevator. Being overcharged, put in a worse room, and told I was getting an upgrade on top of all that made this feel like a complete scam. HORRIBLE!

We ended up needing a night in Milan after our connecting flight was canceled, so we booked at the last minute without expecting much. There wasn’t anyone at the front desk at night, but arranging things over WhatsApp was easy. The room turned out to be really spacious and comfortable, with a massive bathroom and by far the best shower of our five-week holiday. The location was great, and the staff were very friendly. We’d definitely stay again and recommend it.

We weren’t expecting such an amazing room. It was beautiful, and the view was spectacular. The staff were so accommodating and let us check in after hours.
