Marconi Hotel

We'd stay at Marconi again. The rooms look old, but that's the style, and we really liked it. They were clean and cleaned every day, with fresh towels and the beds made. The service was good and breakfast was nice, though it was the same each day and I hope they change it in future. It's good value overall, close to the central station and a few minutes' walk from the metro. Three stops gets you to Duomo. It was quite hot in Milano while we were there, and no matter what we did, we couldn't get fresh air into the room. The AC didn't work, so it stayed very hot all day and night. The rooftop terrace bar was closed. That's why I give it four stars.

The marble and attractive wood give the hotel a lovely look, and breakfast was ample. The location is perfect, only a few minutes' walk from the main train station. Our room was somewhat small, though, and room 206's overhead shower didn't work. The wi-fi signal was too weak to be useful. The first elevator had a screen playing a hotel ad at such a loud volume it was more like a scream. There are other elevators past that one. We'll look for another hotel next time.

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were polite and kind. The hotel is very nice, with beds that are too comfortable, and the bathroom seemed cleaner than at other hotels, in my opinion. I recommend the hotel markoni.

The location is very good, near the station, restaurants, and metro. They kindly let us leave our baggage there free of charge for a week, since we had to travel light for one part of our trip before coming back to Milan.
