Hotel Minerva

The furniture is a bit dated, but the room was spotless and comfortable, and the price was very good for this location. It was easy to find and close to everything I needed for a short stay in Milan. The hotel and room were clean and looked like the pictures. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. It was exactly what I needed.

The location was really convenient, with the Duomo about a 15-20 minute walk away. I’d visit again. Our room wasn’t large, but it was very clean, which is what matters most to me in a hotel. The staff were friendly and helped us a lot.

The staff were all very friendly, and there were plenty of transport options nearby. Everything was clean and worked, the Wi-Fi was strong, and breakfast was fine. The accommodation was basic, but so was the price: I paid about £100 / 115 Euro / 125 USD during Design Week, which I hadn’t heard of before and only later understood was why most hotels had sold out months ahead. The room was dated and the bathroom a little small. The TV buzzed, though I wasn’t in the room much and didn’t report it. The walls between rooms were extremely thin; from my room outside on the first floor I could hear everything next door. I got a few bites, presumably from mosquitoes, but that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. Some renovations would help, though I’d happily stay again.

On my way out to dinner, I asked the receptionist for a restaurant recommendation. He said there were plenty down by the canal. I tried asking again and got the same answer, so he didn’t have anywhere specific to suggest. My room was small, with some street noise, especially from the tram. The bathroom was tiny too, and its door opened the wrong way, so it was always in the way.
