Residenze Darsena

We left as soon as we could. This was a neglected place that should never be rented, not an apartment. The ceiling had holes and cracks from a leak and looked like it might collapse. Water was dripping onto the pillow, leaving wet marks, and the bedding and mattress were so dirty we couldn't even lie down.

The bedding was dirty and hadn't been refreshed, with a large yellowish stain on it. The ceiling was in terrible shape from a leak, with a big hole, peeling plaster and cracks across half the room. The apartment looked nothing like the photos. It was a disaster, not a place to stay, and felt like a fraud against guests.

We had to take out our own rubbish and tidy the place, and nobody came to clean the rooms or replace the towels during our stay. The building is six floors tall, but the lift wasn't working. It's poorly maintained, with dated fittings and decor, and there are no customer service reps. We asked by text in the afternoon for extra blankets, but they didn't arrive until the next day, so we had to sleep under towels for warmth. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The staff were especially kind when I got sick a few hours before our flight on the last day. We'd already checked out, but they let us rest at their office and take a pill before heading to the airport. We stayed about five days and felt comfortable in the apartment. It was well furnished, and the air conditioning was welcome on the sixth and top floor, where it could get hot. Everything worked well. There were plenty of restaurants and places to visit nearby, too. Thanks again for looking after me.
