I usually end up in busy hotels that don't feel very personal when I travel alone, but Hotel Relais Alcova del Doge was different. This charming place in the quiet town of Mira, Italy, made for a romantic, peaceful escape. The room was beautifully decorated, with a calm view over the countryside, and the hotel's architecture and lush gardens added to the relaxing atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with warm hospitality and genuine smiles. They were attentive and friendly, and I felt welcome straight away. Even though I was on my own, I didn't feel lonely. The intimate setting and their kindness gave me a sense of connection and belonging. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Relais Alcova del Doge to anyone looking for a quiet, romantic getaway. Whether you're traveling solo or with someone you love, it can leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

It's a nice place to stay, with a comfortable bed. For a day in Venice, the location works well: the bus stop is a few minutes' walk away, and the trip costs around 7.5€ per person. I'd stay here again if I wanted to visit Venice.

It was lovely to be able to leave our car in the Relais parking lot for the whole stay. Getting to Venice was easy too, with the bus station about a five-minute walk away and a round-trip ticket costing 7,50€ p. P. We had a nice, comfortable stay for two. Breakfast was good, though I missed having vegetables and salads. We could eat in a private-feeling spot in the garden, in the company of the neighbour's cat. The room service was great, and the hostesses were friendly.

We stayed for two nights, from 27/4/17 -29/4/17, with my daughter Jessica Casey. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the hotel was spotless. Alcova del Doge is a great base for visiting Venice by bus. I'd highly recommend it.
