Grand Hotel Francia & Quirinale

Breakfast was good, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I had a single room with a double bed, plenty of storage, and enough space. It was comfortable. Too bad the bar often closed early.

We spent a week here with my wife and found the rooms very clean, with comfortable beds. The hotel is elegant and tastefully furnished. The professional, friendly staff knew their stuff and were always happy to help. They even went the extra mile with our dietary requests and had vegan breakfast options. The terrace and pool add a nice touch.

Getting into the city center was easy on foot, as was reaching the funicular to Montecatini Alto. Shops, restaurants, and gelato are all nearby. The hotel has a classic look with modern touches, and the food was fantastic. My wife and daughter had lots of gluten-free choices. The pool was clean and beautiful, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic hotel!

The staff were kind, helpful, and professional, and they were the one part that lived up to the hotel's supposed four stars. We stayed two nights for a wedding, and they told us on arrival that our room had been upgraded, which was a nice surprise. The room was larger than what we'd booked, but the upgrade stopped there. It wasn't equipped like a four-star room should be: there were damp, dirty towels left by previous guests, no cups, coffee machine, kettle, or information booklet or menu. The minibar had only two waters, and the AC wasn't turned on until our second day. Don't be misled by the stars on the sign outside. This isn't a four-star hotel, and I'd recommend staying elsewhere if that's what you're looking for.
