We used Montecatini as a base for train trips to Florence and Pisa, and the location worked well for us. Free parking was a big help since there didn't seem to be much public parking around. Breakfast wasn't extensive, but there was plenty to get the day started: ham, cheese, bread, preserves, yoghurt, cakes, croissants, coffee, juice, and water. The hotel is simple rather than fancy, but it was clean. The shower pressure was so good that it was one of the best showers I've had.

Money was taken from my wallet in a locked room while I was at breakfast or dinner. Keep your money if you stay here. The room and toilet were dirty, with hair on the bed and bathroom wall. Thieves!!! Don't choose this family hotel, they are stealing from guests.

For the price, it was a good deal. The place was simple but clean, and I'd recommend it for a cheap one or two night stay. The staff were kind, though they weren't trained well for hotel work.

Good value for the price. The breakfast surprised me, with both sweet and savoury choices and good Italian coffee. A nice place to stay without spending much.
