Dimora Dell'Erbe Apartment

Dimora Dell'erbe sits right in the middle of Montepulciano’s main street, a perfect location. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, and the service is excellent. There are so many carefully considered details here that I couldn’t list them all, including plenty you might not even notice. One detail I can’t stop thinking about is the doors. They’re ancient, with old hinges, but someone made sure every one opens and closes smoothly and silently, fitting its frame without rubbing. Now I have to go home and get my own doors working that well!

The Dragoncello suite was spacious enough for two, with a gorgeous bathroom and a bed so comfortable I felt like a princess. I loved the signature scent so much that I bought a bottle to take home. Francy was an incredible host, available and helpful from check-in through check-out and all the time in between. The location is perfect, right in town, across from an awesome cafe and close to the shops and restaurants. I had an amazing two-night stay at Dimora Dell'erbe. Grazie per tutto e ci vediamo a presto!

I spent three weeks studying at Il Sasso, which is right below Dimora dell’Erbe, so the location was super convenient. Even if you’re not a student, it’s great to be in the middle of the historic center, about halfway between the gates at the top and bottom of the hill. I stayed in Dragoncello and loved the mix of historic, elegant furniture with a space that still felt updated. The bed was super comfortable, and the air conditioning was a lifesaver during a few very hot days in July. I absolutely adored the bathroom and shower. Lucia and Francy were amazing hosts, and I’d love to stay again when I return to Montepulciano.

My daughter and I loved our stay. Coming from the US, it was our first time in Montepulciano, and this suite was perfect for us. Francy was so welcoming and helpful. She offered to help with anything, then went out of her way with parking and recommendations. She also saved us when we needed a quick Covid test to travel home, after our original place cancelled an hour before the appointment. We loved the service at the breakfast place and the people there, and it was a perfect spot for aperitivo too. The suite is beautiful and very central.
