The only real drawback is getting to the apartment. There are several flights of stairs inside and out, with no step-free access, so it’s difficult if you have trouble walking or are carrying heavy sports gear like an e-bike or surfboard. For such a great apartment and all that Italian charm around it, I can forgive that. The apartment is above Torbole’s old town, a few minutes’ walk from the harbor and lake beach. It’s completely quiet, yet the tourist bustle is close by. The place and grounds feel very secure, with a fence, a reinforced door and triple lock, emergency lighting, and an intercom. They’ve clearly thought about guest safety. I first stayed here in 2017 and came back in 2025 to see the friendly, accommodating landlord, Alessandro. I expected some wear after all those years, but couldn’t find a flaw. It’s spotless, has modern amenities, and lacks nothing. The furnishings show real care and attention to detail. Absolutely top-notch. There’s a separate room outside for bikes or other sports equipment, plus a private parking space for a car in an underground garage in Torbole. Alessandro and his wife have a weekend apartment right next door, so you may see them there. They gave us a warm welcome and explained everything when we arrived. The fridge already had an excellent bottle of wine and several bottles of water. Alessandro is available by email, speaks perfect English and Italian, and you can coax a few words of German out of him too. There’s always Google. For a great Lake Garda holiday in a lovely apartment with an even lovelier host, I can only recommend Alla Corte.
