Albergo Oasi

I booked this in a rush for a visa application and didn't get around to checking the details carefully. I chose it for the reviews, price, location, and metro access. I was surprised it had such good reviews for a 1-star hotel. Maybe people are judging it by what they expect at that rating, and the value for money is part of it. This feels more like a very basic Airbnb with multiple rooms than a hotel. Don't expect extra service, especially if you speak English. You get the basics, though the bathrooms are newly renovated and nice. The hotel is tucked into an apartment building down an alley rather than on the main street. I arrived at night, and the neighborhood looked a little run-down, though it was probably quite safe. The place is about an 8-10 minute walk from either of the nearby metro stations, and the area is about a 20-minute subway ride from town. Would I stay again? I'd be willing to pay a little more for somewhere nicer, depending on how much more. I remember many hotels being much more expensive, farther away, or requiring a longer walk from the metro.
