The area around the apartment is lovely, with peaceful streets and incredible views. It feels like you’re a little above the city but still close to everything. The building is beautiful too, with gorgeous floors and elegant details. We stayed in the room with the sea view, and waking up to Napoli and Vesuvio right outside was magical. Breakfast is arranged with a restaurant a short walk away. The walk itself has nice views and houses to look at, and there are several breakfast choices and friendly staff. Francesca was a wonderful host, welcoming and kind, and replied incredibly quickly. As others have mentioned, sound carries between the rooms, but it didn’t bother us at all.

Our trip was ruined by the owner’s dishonesty and the property’s high price and rating. Avoid it. Late at night, on the night before our last night, the owner cancelled our booking for that final night at very short notice. They offered different accommodation, but it wasn’t suitable at all. We were made to feel it was our problem, not theirs. The place also feels tired and is overrated. Breakfast isn’t provided on site, you have to walk ten minutes to a bar. Don’t stay here.

Luigi was such a lovely, polite host. He looked after breakfast every morning and asked how we were doing, and he even let us stay after checkout while we waited for our airport transfer. Our contact with Francesca was smooth, and she was genuinely interested. We’ll definitely come back. The room was spacious and had a lovely style, like the rest of the building. We were in the sea-view room, which was enchanting morning and night, and the beach was a ten-minute walk away.

I was kindly moved to the sea-view room, and it felt magical. The place has an amazing location and decor, and it’s a real architectural gem by Giuliano Andrea dell’Uva. The inner room without a sea view is charming too, and you don’t hear the road there. Very good recommendation from NyTimes 36 hours.

The room is on the first floor facing Via Posillipo. By day, it’s an extremely busy, polluted, noisy street. It quiets down at night, but if you’re in the room during the day, you have to keep the window shut, which takes away from enjoying the balcony and its amazing view. There’s another charming, quiet room at the back of the building. The view from this beautiful room across the Bay of Naples to Vesuvius is spectacular. Unfortunately, that’s where the good parts end. Neither 3G nor 4G worked in the room, and the B&B WiFi didn’t work either, as other reviewers have mentioned. Francesca said a technician came the day after I reported it. My iPhone showed three bars of WiFi, but I couldn’t access Google, WhatsApp, or Gmail. I couldn’t book a restaurant or do anything else online without going downstairs and standing in the street. This B&B needs a 3G/4G booster and should replace Fast Web as its internet provider. Neither owner, Francesca or Allesandro, greeted me at check-in or checkout. Luigi, a sympathetic young man who was afraid of Covid, met me instead. I’m elderly, and nobody offered to help with my luggage. The shower drain was filthy and full of hair. I told Luigi, but he did nothing about it. Both times, his lack of action or assistance was Covid-related. Lodgings in Italy are required by law to follow enhanced cleaning rules, and Primo Piano was in breach of them in this instance. It’s a shame that such a beautiful space is let down by the lack of service and attention to guests’ needs. If these problems were fixed, I wouldn’t hesitate to give Primo Piano Posillipo five stars.
