Getting to and from the street means climbing slanted steps. The lobby is tiny, as is the restaurant, and they didn't have a computer. On the plus side, the location is really central, our room was spacious, and the walls were thicker than in other Sicilian hotels we've stayed in. Our toilet wouldn't flush, though, and it took more than 24 hours to get it fixed.

The location really is central, but I still wouldn't recommend this place or stay here again. The rooms don't look like the pictures. They seemed clean, but they're badly dated and lit with harsh white fluorescent bulbs. The WiFi was so poor we bought extra data for our travel plan, and the AC barely worked. Add the occasional road noise and it was hard to get any rest. This hotel isn't worth more than €50 a night, at most. You've been warned.

We spent four nights here with my girlfriend. The hotel and rooms were clean, and the location was good. Breakfast didn't have much choice, but what was there tasted good. The problems were harder to overlook. Our AC kept switching itself on and off, and we couldn't make it stop, so at night we might wake up sweating or freezing. The room was cleaned daily, but our towels were changed only once. We think they should be replaced without guests needing to ask. The WiFi was the worst I've come across. Even a small video could take several minutes to download. Getting around Palermo without a car seemed nearly impossible to us, but parking was difficult too. The hotel lot costs €25 per night, which we found expensive. There may be cheaper parking around the hotel.

We checked out after one night, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel or come back. The AC was loud and barely did anything. Even after the hotel offered to move us, they couldn't find a room where it worked. They eventually brought a fan, but it just blew hot air around. The desk clerk was very apologetic, though he didn't manage to fix the situation. He started sweating as soon as he came into our room. Street noise, slow WiFi and bad lighting added to the disappointment, and the rooms looked nothing like the online photos. It made for a very regretful stay.

We stayed one night before our cruise and would stay here again in Palermo. It's a lovely, clean hotel in the heart of the city, with a nice room and plenty of attractions within walking distance. The port is also walkable, and the metro is about 20 minutes away on foot.
