I’d just got off the bus from Trapani and was looking for a room. The house Jonathan Hostel is in is a beautiful building, and from the moment the door opened I was greeted by smiling faces. I hadn’t booked, but they welcomed me, let me use the Wi-Fi, and explained the area in about 15 minutes. I was in a bit of a rush to get back to Germany and found out I could catch an evening ferry, so I didn’t take a room. They still let me leave my things for the remaining hours, showed me where to book the ferry ticket, how to find the bus, and where to buy a bus ticket. I could explore the city without any hassle, charge my devices before leaving, and spend time with the staff and other guests. They asked for a small amount for storing my luggage, but I didn’t have coins, so they sent me off without paying, still smiling. The rooms, kitchen, and restrooms were super clean and welcoming. Each room had its own style, and the place felt more like a shared flat than a hostel. There’s also an amazing balcony, a nice spot to relax in the light breeze after walking around in the heat. I was honestly a bit sad I didn’t stay overnight. This hostel is really outstanding, so don’t hesitate to stay here. To the staff: I’ll come back and stay next time for sure. Thanks again for everything!
