The restaurant was a highlight. The chef serves memorable meals, combining traditional local ingredients and dishes with creativity and flair. There’s also a well-stocked bar, a lounge with a traditional heater in winter, and guest laundry. The family who run the place know the local area incredibly well and make staying in this historic hotel a pleasure. Prices were competitive and good value for the food and service. It’s dog friendly, too. The room options cover a wide range of sizes, and all are well equipped with breathtaking views over Peio valley. There are comfortable large beds, power sockets, big TVs, clothes cupboards, a safe, and a writing desk. The bathrooms feel luxurious, with great showers after a day in the mountains. We liked being a short walk from the village but away from the noisy bars near the ski lift. This delightful family-run hotel is the best in the whole valley, if not Italy.

We've been returning to #Hotel Zanella in #Peio Fonti for more than 20 years, and it's always a real pleasure. The location is great, the atmosphere warm and cozy, the staff lovely and very helpful, and the food delicious. The rooms are comfortable and renovated, with plenty more besides. It's an #Ecohotel, #Petfriendly, and #Bikehotel in #Trentino, by #StelvioNationalPark and #ValdiPejo, great for #skiing and #familyholidays. We'll definitely come again. Thanks for everything you did to make our stay so good!

We were four people staying from December 27 to 31, 2025. Our room was spacious, modern, and clean, and there were large shared areas. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The hotel sits in a panoramic spot, and the big dining room windows look out on a fairytale landscape. Breakfast is self-service, with a great range of pastries and drinks. If you ask, they also bring excellent yogurt, scrambled eggs with bacon, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Dinner had an excellent selection of cooked and raw vegetables, unlimited Pejo water from an on-site "spring," tasty appetizers presented beautifully, and a range of traditional and less traditional first courses, with vegetarian and vegan options. The meat second courses were excellent and fragrant, and the desserts exquisite. The hotel's eco-friendly management and sustainable practices stood out too. It's plastic-free, has zero CO2 impact thanks to energy it generates itself from a small hydroelectric plant, and lets you charge an electric car. A real gem in the beautiful mountains of Pejo Valley.
