Albergo Marsari

The best part was how warmly Luigi welcomed us. After six weeks travelling the Adriatic coast, we stopped here on our way back to the UK and hadn't had a friendlier welcome. We stayed for two nights at the end of June 2024. The traditional Italian hotel was spotless, quiet and comfortable, with comfortable beds, effective air conditioning and a strong shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast wasn't included, but each morning we were treated to a free cappuccino and croissant at the cafe next door. The centre of Peschiera is a 10-minute walk away, and guest parking is available.

A quiet, simple place that works well if you're backpacking or want to be near the station and centre. The person at the information and entrance desk may be the owner, which could explain why he's not always there and asks by email when you'll arrive. There's a shower and toilet, air conditioning, and a freezer, which was all I needed. Breakfast is a croissant and coffee from the bar/cafe next door. It's about 20 minutes on foot to the station and 10 to the shops and centre. Scooter rental shops are also around a 10-minute walk away. I recommend Auto-Moto Noleggio Adventure Sprint, about 650m from here. Don't expect luxury.

A handy base for visiting lake Garda, with the port, train station and bus stops nearby. The service was great.

The owner was friendly and provided very good service. He speaks Italian, German and English. The location is convenient, with a bus stop directly across the street and the beach within walking distance.
