B&B My Angels

Our stay was really disappointing, and the room we got wasn’t the one we had booked. The bed was awful: the mattress seemed very old, and I couldn’t sleep on it. Light came through the glass bedroom door all night and in the morning, so the room never got dark. The toilet was dirty too. We were told breakfast was available, but all we found was a broken coffee machine and some pastries that had already disappeared by 8, even though we went down then. They said it wasn’t their fault, but didn’t offer us anything else to eat. Also, be aware that check-in is until 18:00. She gets very annoyed if you ask to arrive later, even through booking.com. Maybe people in the other rooms had a different experience, but ours was very disappointing.

Breakfast came with tasty Croissants, Brioches, other pastries, and good espresso. The host was friendly, had a good sense of humor, and pointed out useful places in the City. We’ll come back to explore more of the Region. The room was nice and clean, with big windows and balcony doors plus extra louver doors. The bed was large and very comfortable, with extra seating or clothes-laying furniture in front. There was also a clean bathroom with pretty tiles and glas bricks, a big wardrobe with solid doors, and a wide dresser made of good wood.

The location worked really well, next to the train station, not far from the Pompei ruins, and there was free parking on site. The landlord was friendly and helpful, and gave us all the information we needed. Towels were provided and breakfast was generous. The room was spacious, but we were cold at night despite the heating. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the shower only gave a couple of thin streams of water.

The host was lovely and gave us a warm welcome. She even checked in before we arrived, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was brought to our room after she asked what we’d like, so we could eat privately. The location was handy too, about 10-15 minutes on foot from the Pompeii Ruins, with limited parking available. Sleeping was difficult, though. Glass blocks at the top of the wall and no curtains on the main window meant the room was never dark. The bed was so soft that my girlfriend and I kept rolling into each other. The air conditioning barely worked and was incredibly loud, like a howling gale. Parts of the bathroom were grimy, and the shower head was broken. Someone dropped off what I think were the host’s children, and they ran around making noise until around midnight, which I wasn’t impressed by. For one or two nights, it’s good value if those issues don’t bother you. For a longer stay, I’d look for a hotel.
