Crudo Home

We stayed Friday to Friday for a full week, using the hotel as a base for Pompeii and the Hereculeum. The room was huge, with a gorgeous view, and the value was excellent. Habita79 costs four times as much if you’re after luxury. The hotel is right by the train station on a charming street, with great restaurants just below the main square. It can get noisy, but it depends on the night. We had quiet nights 5 out of 7, and I used my noise cancelling earpods. We really enjoyed charming Pompei, and the restaurant connected to the hotel is beautiful. We had our best fish meal there.

Really charming and unusual place, with beautiful rooms and reasonable prices. It’s one minute from the train station, right on the main strip near bars and restaurants. Staff were nice and let us leave our luggage before check-in so we could do the Pompeii tour. The mattress was awful, really hard and springy. It was very noisy too, with sound from the hallways, street, and restaurant below. I was fine with my sound machine and earplugs, but my husband wasn’t. Staff communication was a bit slow. Great for one night.

We liked it enough after our first night that we came back later in the holiday when we had some spare time. The rooms are huge, modern, and very clean, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. Breakfast is served in the little cafe downstairs, just coffee and a croissant. There are plenty of lovely restaurants and cocktail bars in walking distance. The location works really well for the tourist spots, with the Pompei ruins nearby, the train station next door for Herculaneum, and the bus to Vesuvius just a two-minute walk away.

The room was big and close to the pompi ruins, but the shower leaked and was moldy. There’s a restaurant downstairs, though we didn’t eat there. Noise was constant, with cars and horns until 3 in the morning, so I barely slept.
