The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the room decor was attractive. Still, the room was dusty, the shower was old and dirty, and the water was ice cold. Our window looked onto the breakfast room, so we got no daylight. Breakfast had limited options, but enough to get by. Weekend noise was a problem, and we could hear the neighbours through the thin walls. The hotel itself was pleasant and clean by Italian standards, though our experience fell short of what we’d expect elsewhere in Europe. It wasn’t a terrible stay, but it wasn’t a good one either. It may suit a short visit.

We spent a week here and found the staff kind and helpful. The train line is nearby, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the Pompeii ruins. There’s also a nice square and good restaurants close by. A laundry is right next door, and there’s a fruit shop down the street. Fruit in Italy was really cheap compared with France. We had a great stay and highly recommend the hotel.

A terrible stay. The showers were dirty and mouldy, there was no cold water, and the sheets had hair on them until we asked to have them changed. On our second night, there wasn’t any toilet paper. The hotel is very noisy, with shouting and running from other guests and neighbours easy to hear. It’s inside a building, and the people who live there were very rude to us. There’s no parking lot at the hotel. Parking costs 10 euros and is far away. Even allowing for it being a two star hotel, the hygiene fell below a basic standard.

The rooms and washrooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. They looked after our bags while we went around the city. Breakfast was served buffet style in the morning.
