The rooms were very clean, and having air conditioning during the heat wave was a big plus. The lady who checked us in was really sweet and let us leave our luggage. It’s a great base in Rome. Highly recommended.

We stayed for one night, and the price was decent, to be fair, but the whole thing felt like the wrong time and day. We’d booked ahead and told them we’d arrive in the evening within the stated hours, yet the host kept impatiently asking for our arrival time. When we got there, the hosts seemed unsure whether our dog was allowed, even though the booking.com listing said pets were permitted. They brought up an extra “dog tax,” but the language barrier made it hard to understand. I offered to use a translator, and eventually they let us bring the dog. Later, they claimed the sheets were so dirty they had to be thrown out and the room had taken extra time to clean. That wasn’t what happened. Our dog slept on the floor in her own bed. It was disappointing that the hosts didn’t seem able to take criticism honorably. Who knows, maybe it was just the wrong day, but that was our experience.

My flight was delayed by six hours, and I had no internet to warn them. As soon as I landed, I messaged, but they again told me to contact them before arriving. I explained I was offline and asked them to meet me at the hotel, so I went straight there. Nobody was available to check me in. After waiting an hour, I found another hotel down the street. I followed their check-in rules as best I could, but when I requested a refund through the app where I booked, they refused. I lost the money. Don’t stay here unless you’ve read the fine print.

The room was clean, but the service felt very unprofessional. Check-in started at 14:00; I arrived at 15:30 and nobody was there. When I called, they said they’d come in 10 minutes, but it took half an hour, with no apology. I’d booked through agoda because I was looking for the cheapest option, listed at 40€ with taxes included. On arrival they asked for another 14€ in tourist taxes. If extra taxes are due, they should be mentioned before booking. For 54€ a night, I’m sure I could have found somewhere closer to the city centre. You’re not professionals.
