The hostess was friendly and quick to respond. Our room had a kitchenette and was on a quiet street, roughly a 10 minute walk from both Piazza St. Giovanni di Laterano and the Coliseum.

Getting into the B&B was a mess. There’s no reception, nobody arrived with our keys, and repeated calls went unanswered. We waited until a mail man helped us get in. The owner never answered when we tried again, and we didn’t see them at all during our four night stay. The shower didn’t work properly, and the nearest metro station was a 20 minute walk, so there was a lot of walking. A few days after we arrived, €100 in cash was taken from our room. There was no breakage, and the windows had been closed and the doors locked before we went out, so we suspected hotel staff. Don’t stay here.

It didn’t look like the photo we saw. So disappointing!

The breakfast was nonexistent, so I can’t see how this place can be called a B&B. I wouldn’t recommend it. The rooms are below street level, visible from the road, in a noisy apartment building. It was dirty, and we could hear people in the rooms next door. The residents upstairs sounded like they were running around. The bathroom was rundown, with nowhere to put things; the water took ages to heat up, and the drain made a horrible noise. The mattress left me aching, assuming I managed to get any rest. The room was never cleaned, and the towels weren’t changed. There were outlets by the bed on only one side, and the light was set up the same way. You also couldn’t double-lock the entrance, or the other guests would be locked out. A terrible experience, and as a guest I had no way to choose otherwise.
