The bed and bathroom were the only good parts of our stay. For a supposed 4-star hotel, the cleanliness and service were disappointing. The room was dusty; moving the bed revealed pills and clumps of hair, and dust puffed into the air whenever we opened the sheets. We couldn’t set the air conditioning when we wanted. At breakfast, one toaster was broken but still left out, and using it caused the power to go out. The breakfast staff seemed unfriendly and barely spoke to guests. One window let in noise, and on our last night there was a lot of corridor noise around midnight. With the metro under construction over the weekend, we asked staff how to get places, but they didn’t know. If we hadn’t known better, we would have followed their wrong advice. In my view this isn’t a 4-star hotel, and they need to do much more about cleanliness and staff friendliness.

Two and a half plugs in a 4-star hotel? It’s frustrating, especially for guests attending an exhibition or conference. That might have been fine twenty years ago. The rest was very good, though. Our room and bathroom were spacious, the TV was big, and the large beds and pillows were very comfortable. Climate control worked well, and there were extra pillows plus a warm, light blanket. Cleaning was excellent, wifi was free and fast, and there were snack and water machines on every floor outside the lift. The restaurant was good, and breakfast wasn’t bad.

Everything worked out well during our three nights. The staff were warm, friendly, and always willing to help. Breakfast had lots of tasty choices, and the room was comfortable with a lovely design. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe, with several excellent restaurants and pizza places nearby. The metro is a five minute walk and the bus stop is three minutes away. Staff handled our dinner reservations quickly and confirmed them clearly. Before we arrived, I asked the hotel to arrange an airport transfer, and everything went smoothly: the extra large van showed up on time at a reasonable price. Paula at the Front Desk was especially skilled and professional. We spent a week at the end of July and were extremely happy with the stay. The rooms were spacious compared with other European hotels we used, and breakfast had plenty of choices for health-conscious guests and meat lovers. Communication with staff was prompt and professional from the start. We’d gladly come back.

Carolina at reception is an exceptional front desk associate. She’s interning at the moment, but knows the hotel very well and can give expert advice on what to do in Rome, so ask for her by name if you’d like help. The hotel is on Rome’s outskirts, but handy for public transport. It’s about a 20 minute ride from the airport. If you take the metro, use Laurentina station, then it’s a short walk. There’s a large bus terminus and taxi parking right next door.
