Aurelius Art Gallery Hotel

The metro and bus stations were both close, so getting around the city was easy. We loved the hotel's beautiful atmosphere and how exceptionally clean everything was. Our host was so kind and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting the area. 😁

The receptionist was extremely kind, positive, and helpful throughout our stay. Still, the rest of the experience was a major disappointment for a place advertised and priced as a 4-star hotel. The busy avenue outside had nowhere proper to stop and load or unload luggage, which was inconvenient for arriving by car. Inside, noise from neighboring rooms came through clearly, and the shower head was broken. The common-area carpets looked very old and were stained. Our room and its services also fell far short of 4-star standards. The mattress was old, uncomfortable, and visibly stained. There was no duvet, only a bed cover and old blanket, and the towels were very worn and discolored. There wasn't a kettle, coffee maker, or even a complimentary bottle of water. No blackout curtains either, which made it hard to rest properly. This didn't feel like a 4-star hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it.

The room was huge, with two bathrooms, a small fridge, and friendly staff. It was clean, felt safe, and was in a good location near local restaurants and just around the corner from the metro. The air conditioning was easily the best I've had anywhere in Europe. I spent 21 days in summer 2025 across five different countries, and this was far and away the best. In July, I even had to ask for an extra blanket! I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

The manager was professional and a really nice guy. Towels were changed daily, and we got fresh shampoo. The metro station and good restaurants were both about a two-minute walk away. The airport and Rome city were each about 20 minutes away. One of the best accommodation experiences we've had in years.
