B and B Locanda Sant'Anna

The red room was roomy and clean, and although the bathroom is small, it has what you need. In the kitchen each morning there are pastries, coffee, butter, jam, yogurt, salami or ham, cheese, and more. It’s very well priced compared with similar places in Rome, and Roma Termini is a 15-minute walk away. I warmly recommend this B&B.

We stayed in the green room and appreciated the sweet breakfast and daily cleaning. The B&B has a cozy feel, tasteful decor, and a very friendly host. There’s a late-opening restaurant downstairs, and if you’re lucky you might catch some accordion music. The bathroom smell was nearly unbearable, though it wasn’t the owners’ fault but seemed to come from the city. Also, the strict 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. check-in window left us stranded on the streets of Rome when our delayed flight got us in at midnight. It could suit travelers on a budget. We were a couple and are grateful for the stay, but I wish I could have given it five stars.

For under 50 EUR a night, we got a clean, cozy, spacious room with a private bathroom, and check-in was quick. Termini station is a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast is included, a basic cold spread of cereal, toast, and fruit, and guests can use the kitchen area with its kettle and fridge. Street noise and sound from neighboring rooms came through. There was body wash and soap, but no shampoo or conditioner.

We only stayed two nights, but it was such a pleasant visit that we’d come back for longer. The neighborhood is quiet, with plenty of bars, supermarkets, and restaurants nearby. The hosts were warm and friendly, and the room was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. Everything was tidy and clean. It’s close to Termini and a short walk from the Colosseum. There’s a broad choice of breakfast snacks and drinks. I’d recommend it for couples or groups of friends.
