I had a single room, and both it and the bathroom were spacious. The biggest draw for me was the location: two minutes on foot from the Vatican Museums, five from St. Peter’s Basilica, and close to all the other sights too. The metro is three minutes away. It feels more like a home than a hotel, with keys to the apartment so you can come and go whenever you want. The hosts were friendly and generous. The kitchen is open around the clock, with great Italian coffee from a good machine, tea, croissants, yogurt, and toast with butter and jam whenever you fancy them. The private bathroom and toilet had reliable hot water and good shower pressure. One heads-up for larger guests: the shower opening is incredibly narrow, unlike any I’ve seen elsewhere. The bed and the fresh, clean, good-quality linens were another plus; I slept as well as at home. My flight wasn’t until 8 PM, and the hotel kindly let me leave my luggage there for free and pick it up whenever I wanted. There were a couple of drawbacks. The toilet smell only went away with the window open, apparently because of the ventilation system. My room faced the courtyard, where a group gathered around 11 PM, talking loudly and smoking. Smoke came into my room, which was uncomfortable for me as a non-smoker. I should say the cigars or cigarettes seemed good quality, and I didn’t have an allergic reaction, which sometimes happens to me. The group left around 2 AM. Those issues were minor next to how much I enjoyed visiting Rome. I recommend this hotel, you won’t regret it.
