That rooftop was amazing, with just a table and two chairs, but such a lovely spot for a romantic picnic under the stars. The host gave me keys for all the cool doors in the 300 yr old building, including access to the roof. He and his wife were wonderful with us. We booked late after driving from naples, and he met us at 2330 and compromised with us about the late fee. Our room was fully locked off from the other guests, a very nice couple from Romania. The bedroom and bathroom were beautiful and private. There was an espresso and cafe machine with hot water, plus a service elevator that fits one person with big luggage. The neighborhood was so nice, and this was the best b and b I stayed at during my ten day trip in italy. I own a b and b myself and try to give the same impeccable service. I don't usually leave reviews unless the service is terrible or beyond amazing, and this was great. Five stars.

I stayed for a week in November with friends, and we booked two rooms. The hostess was very friendly and spoke fluent Russian. She helped arrange the airport transfer, showed us how to use the metro, and pointed out nearby shops, including one that's open 24 hours. The hotel is very clean and wonderfully located, just two minutes from the Colosseum and metro. Each room has its own bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink. The two beds can be pushed together or separated, and two rooms have balconies looking out over the courtyard. I'd really like to come back to Rome and will definitely stay here again.

We were there as a couple just outside the busy season and had a great time. The apartment was beautifully decorated, and the Wi-Fi was fast enough to stream. The host really went out of his way to make our stay in Rome pleasant.
