APPARTAMENTO SANTI QUATTRO 1 e 2 - COLOSSEO

We never got to stay here. We arrived in Rome from the airport, went to the B&B and couldn’t work out how to get in. The phone number I’d been given wasn’t working. Luckily, we met some people staying there, and they gave us Francesca’s mobile number. When I asked about our booking and how to access the room, it turned out they had no record of it and no rooms available. I’d booked directly through the website in August 2025 and had an email confirming the booking, but Francesca said website issues meant she hadn’t received it. By then it was 8pm and we had nowhere for the night. Thankfully it was January and we found a nearby hotel with rooms, but we could have done without that last-minute stress. Also, be aware these are apartments with shared kitchen facilities, not a traditional B&B.

This is a great value apartment with a huge room, right next to the Colosseum and a 24 seven supermarket. You get what you pay for, so it suits people who don’t need hotel services. There’s AC and communication with the host as well. The only downside is that you hear your neighbour very well, since it’s a bed and breakfast. :)

BUYER BEWARE! The listing says Via De' Santiquattro 64, but the property was actually at VIA CELIMONTANA 28. I booked through Booking .com because I wanted to be closer to the metro. The owner needs to update the listing because it’s deceptively incorrect, and did nothing to accommodate us or make it right. We’d had a nice trip in Italy up until then. I have a picture showing where they’re located versus where they said our room was.

The view from the location was fantastic, and the room was really comfortable with everything we needed. Enrique was such a welcoming, helpful host, which meant a lot to us. Highly recommend!
