B&B Basilica Square

The noise kept me from sleeping, and it wasn’t worth what I paid.

The host was kind and always answered my questions, and the bed was comfortable. Everything was clean, including the bathroom, and there were no unpleasant smells. I’d happily recommend the hotel. Thanks so much, Vicky Team! ❤️🙏🏻 Our room had a mini-fridge, TV, coffee maker, private bathroom, two closets, a safe, and a small table by the window that I really liked. The hotel is on the second floor, left at the top of the stairs, and the host provided an app to open the door. We didn’t try the elevator, so I can’t say if it works. Nearby shops made it easy to grab a snack, toothpaste, or even a souvenir. Manzoni, the closest metro station, is a five-minute walk away, and bus routes 85, 87, and 51 stop right across the street. It takes nine minutes by bus to reach the Colosseum, and the Trevi Fountain is a 30-minute walk. We walked back some nights to enjoy the city, and the area felt safe. One thing to keep in mind: the room faces a busy street, and its window isn’t soundproof. There aren’t any bars or restaurants nearby, but there is traffic at all hours.

I especially loved the spectacular view of the Basilica of San Giovanni, and public transportation was easy to reach. The room was very clean and nice, and looked like it had been renovated recently. The bathroom was on the small side but worked fine.

The location has good bus and public transportation connections, but we expected the room and bathroom to be cleaner. Also, it’s close to San Giovanni Hospital, so the area can be noisy if you’re a light sleeper.
