Beauty Rooms

The staff were really friendly and everything else was great. Just be aware that a couple of the room doors were noisy, and the bathroom door had no lock. 👍

The rooms were filthy, there were bugs in the shower, and the beds weren’t comfortable. Don’t stay here. Spend a bit more somewhere else.

We couldn’t stay in the room for any of the four nights we’d booked. It was in unacceptable shape when we arrived: stains and hair on the bed, hair and bobby pins in the shower, a floor that hadn’t been swept or mopped, and someone else’s clothes left in the room. The private bathroom was disgusting, with urine on the toilet and floor and a shower curtain that smelled strongly of urine. We went to the front desk around 8:00 PM on our first night, within the stated reception hours, but nobody was there to help. We had to pay out of pocket to book a room elsewhere. When we finally found someone at the desk the next day, they said our concerns would be passed to the manager and that we’d get an update about a refund. I’ve contacted the property several times since, but they haven’t replied. This was a terrible experience, with no cleanliness or customer service to speak of. The state of the room and bathroom, and the extra expense of finding somewhere else, made this place a disaster.

The bathrooms and other facilities were poorly maintained and unhygienic, and the safety issue made the stay deeply unsettling. Another guest acted aggressively and inappropriately toward my roommate and me. We reported it, but staff only asked him to change his behavior instead of making sure we were safe. Things escalated until we had to lock ourselves in our room. Guests should be able to feel safe and comfortable, and Hostel Beauty failed us on both counts.
