A panoramic view of Rome from the terrace makes B&B da Lia a lovely place to stay, and it's only a stone's throw from the Tiber. The location also works well for city tours, with public transportation connections nearby. Rome is wonderful, and this is one of its most welcoming places. Lia is a wonderful host, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly lovely stay in Rome. Mavi

Lia is friendly, dependable, and easy to reach. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with good air conditioning, and the neighborhood is very quiet with no traffic disturbance. The place is as advertised. It's around a 15-minute walk to Stadio Olimpico, which is handy if you're going to a football match. Afterward the streets get crowded, and public transport from the stadium into the city isn't very good. The home isn't in the city centre, though someone in good health can walk there in about 15 minutes. Taxis in Rome are fairly cheap and reliable, so getting around shouldn't be a problem.

The breakfast was a real highlight, especially given that local rules require B&Bs in Lia's area to serve only packaged food. She stocked the shared kitchen with a high-end coffee maker and plenty of coffee and tea options, plus, I think, hot chocolate. There was fresh milk and cream, juices, meat, cheese, butter, and cold water in the fridge. Lia even brought me ice trays. Eggs and a small egg cooker were there too, along with fruit, a toaster, toast, croissants, crackers, and cookies. Our room felt private and safe, had a lockable door and an en-suite bathroom, and the air conditioner was a huge relief in the Roman heat. We're from Colorado and aren't used to it. As we were leaving, Lia kindly gave us a little portable fan to take along. The building's elevator is the smallest we'd ever seen, though it works great and made us laugh. The neighborhood is very quiet, without the sirens and honking you'd hear near the Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain. We enjoyed walking into the tourist part of the city each day. We only took a taxi to the Colosseum, and one night we took the Metro back from the Vatican because it was late and we were tired. The rest was an easy walk. Lia helped us figure out public transportation and get oriented with a map. My husband and I began our 21-day Mediterranean trip with Lia's B&B three weeks ago. We hadn't been to Europe since 1989 and didn't know quite what to expect, but the accommodations, breakfast, and Lia herself made it a perfect start. We were 110% happy with B&B A Casa di Lia. Thank you, Lia, for adding so much joy to our trip!

I was in Rome for work and felt at home at Casa di Lia. The house was very clean and matched the services listed online. There was a small kitchen where I could cook, which made my stay much cheaper. Lia is really nice too. I highly recommend it!

Whenever I'm in Roma, I try to stay with Lia if she has a room available. She's always so warm and friendly, and the location makes it easy to walk into the centre of Roma. I love the quiet and the views from the window. Thanks again, Lia, for making my stay so lovely.
